Prayers of Love and Faith 

Following a recent PCC Meeting in March 2024 it was agreed unanimously that St Andrew’s would offer this special ministry to couples.

Prayers of Love & Faith are prayers that may be used to support couples in same-sex relationships. They have been passed by General Synod for use in parishes, at the discretion of the Incumbent.

The prayers are NOT a marriage and are not to be regarded as weddings, but a way of blessing and recognising love in all its forms, for couples who have committed to spend their lives together in a loving, stable relationship. They may only be used in a scheduled public act of worship but not in a stand-alone service.
